YOUR PATH TO ONENESS

AIKYAM

(Sanskrit: ऐक्यम्)

– MEANING –

ONENESS, UNITY, HARMONY,

THE PURE ESSENCE OF YOUR TRUE IDENTITY THAT MIGHT STILL HIDE BEHIND YOUR MASKS AND UNCONSIOUS BELIEFS

About me

Hi beautiful soul! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. First of all, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself, who I am, what I do and what this website and my work mean to me.

Whenever someone asks me who I am and what I do, I always struggle to give a short answer. I am many things and I don’t like using superficial labels. We’re all constantly changing. I am no exception. I can only give you a glimpse of who I am and what kind of person. To start, I’d like to talk about the path that led me here – it might not give you the full picture, but you can get an idea of how I became the person I am today.

So let’s get started! ☺

My Offerings

I follow a holistic approach: body, voice, sound, conversations and reflection – they all play a big part in my work. I also integrate yoga elements to create a well-rounded, balanced and harmonic service.

Yoga

Anusara yoga is the very foundation of my yoga lessons, but I also use elements of Vinyasa, Kundalini, Fascia yoga and Yin yoga to keep my lessons varied and adaptable to individual needs.

Theta Healing

Theta Healing is a technique that can be used to explore your beliefs and dissolve or change them. Using a special meditation method, I will guide you into a state of being that allows easier access to your subconscious mind.

Vocal Embodiment

In a Vocal Embodiment session, we will work intensely with your voice. The frequency of your own vibration flows through your entire body. It creates change at the deepest layers right on a cellular level.

Mentoring

My approach to mentoring is a sustainable and thereby profound one. Every person is different. As a mentor, I wish to accompany people on their very own journey.

Lomi Lomi Nui

Lomilomi nui is an ancient massage technique with roots in Hawaiian shamanism. It consists of gentle, flowing movements. I will provide you with a safe space in which you can recharge and truly relax.

If you truly want something, you’ll find a way.

If you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.

Ann-Kathrin has a unique talent for creating spaces. She exudes warmth, makes you feel welcome and has a great sense of aesthetics. And she really excels at feeling and sensing seemingly small issues that still impacted me. As a client, I felt seen. The massage as a whole and its intensity were very pleasant. Lomilomi is not like a Thai massage. It’s about manifesting intentions that you discuss with your massage therapist in advance. Ann-Kathrin is relaxed, calm and vibrant at the same time. You can really feel that during your session with her. I felt incredibly comfortable throughout. I really appreciated her taking her time even after the massage and not rushing me off. There was even time for me to shower and slowly ease my way back into the hustle and bustle of the day. It left me feeling super grateful. Thank you so so much for giving me such a lovely escape from everyday life.

In my Theta Healing session with Ann-Kathrin I felt very comfortable and was able to talk openly about the topics that are currently on my mind. She gave me the space for it and also held it.
Ann-Kathrin guided me through the meditation with her calm and relaxed manner and gave me the opportunity to sink even deeper into myself in order to find the answers within myself. The paths chosen by the subconscious are absolutely unpredictable. That’s why I was very happy that Ann-Kathrin guided me through and always asked exactly the right questions.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏

I had my first Vocal Embodiment session with Ann-Kathrin exactly one year ago. I was a bit nervous at first, but Ann-Kathrin knows how to make you feel safe and secure. Vocal Embodiment has allowed me to perceive my own truth through sound, creating space for my authentic self. Ann-Kathrin created a safe space for this and guided me carefully. It gave me space and at the same time support to face myself vulnerably and openly. Today, almost a year after my first session, I have arrived exactly where I always wanted to be in life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I have been taking Alkyam classes for about three sessions, I look forward to practicing each week because she invites her students to reflect on the challenges and joys of life both on and off the mat. Her classes maintain a balance of spirituality, fun, and individualized physical challenge.

I practiced yoga with Ann-Kathrin both online and live. Her lessons are well thought out, coherent and simply a blessing. It creates a safe space that invites you to let go. Ann-Kathrin brings all her knowledge to the sessions and is very attentive to the alignment of the individual asanas. She also manages to maintain this virtually.
I always leave the yoga sessions with a smile on my face. Thank you for that! 🤍

I booked a Theta Healing session with Ann-Kathrin without informing myself beforehand what exactly Theta Healing is. I just knew it needed an intention. Mine was a decades-long weight problem, or rather a blockage of it. I tried different diets for years and always realized that it wasn’t the problem. Ann-Kathrin took this on board and connected with me in an open-minded way. I felt that I was in good hands right from the start. After she asked me the question “What is the reason why you want to lose weight?” at the very beginning, we began our journey together. Ann-Kathrin did a meditation with me at the beginning that couldn’t have been better, tailored to me, at the pace I needed. I could just let myself go completely.
Ann-Kathrin went through many layers with me and was not only patient, but also absolutely approachable. I never had the feeling that I was doing anything wrong, regardless of how my answers came out and whether they were appropriate or not. Ann-Kathrin gave me a positive feeling throughout. I have been to places where I have not been for many years and was able to resolve my issue. What does that look like today? It’s been a week, I go out every day, exercise and don’t feel like eating anymore, which makes me tired. My body is crying out for good food and exercise. I am incredibly grateful for the space that Ann-Kathrin opened and held, and the aftercare was also perfect. I can contact them at any time.

My Path

With my work, I want to support my clients on their path. Especially at times when it may feel challenging or even overwhelming to walk it alone.

My Motivation

I want to help people. I want to accompany people on their journey to spirituality. Why? Because I know how hard and exhausting it can be to walk this road alone. In the end, we all have to find our way through life (this life and all future lives) on our own. But we can also walk this path or at least parts of it together with other people who support us or even surround us with a community in which everyone supports another. Or we can become a part of a supportive community. It’s alright to ask for help. Living and learning can be easy. We’re free to decide how to walk this road, for how long, at what pace and who we want to take with us.

I was an only child. My father suffered from Parkinson’s and my mother is a narcissist which meant I had to deal with large parts of my journey through life on my own. At the same time, I was always surrounded by people who gave me stability and reminded me of my value.

Already early in my life I was tormented by this difficult question of why am I here? What’s the reason for my existence?

My Goal

My goal is to support you in finding your path. I will be a mirror for you, to help you feel your emotions and understand their context. I want you to feel that you’re not alone in all of this. You will have to do the actual walking yourself, of course, but I can accompany you for a little while. I can provide you with water or offer you my hand for support when the path gets too rocky and you lose your balance. On this path, we can laugh together and have fun, we can tell each other stories and jokes. You will see, time will fly by! However, we will also stop every once in a while and take in what’s around us and appreciate how far we’ve already come.

(…) I want to enable you, to make this experience for yourself as well. To feel that you can show up for yourself and that you’re able to hold you in whatever might come up. Sometimes showing up for yourself means communicating your needs and seeking help. So that you don’t have to walk this road alone, all disheartened and worn out, but with lightness and joy – and someone who supports you by your side.

My Approach

I have a dance background, that’s where my roots are. At the age of four I started dancing ballet. Later on, I also tried out jazz dance, show ballet, hip hop, rock’n’roll as well as standard dance and pointe. I stopped dancing when I was 18. The training took too much time and I was preparing for my final high school exams. When I was in university, I discovered yoga. In 2019, I started my first yoga teacher training. By now I have completed several different teacher trainings. My heart belongs to Anusara yoga, but I also love Kundalini. A variety of disciplines have influenced me and I work with an array of tools such as Vinyasa, Fascia yoga, Somatic Experiencing, Contact Improvisation, sound meditation, Vocal Embodiment, Theta Healing, Breathwork, knowledge of the nervous system, Tantra and shamanism to name just a few. Moreover, I trained as a mediator and Ayurvedic nutritionist. My training as a lomilomi massage therapist as well as discovering the world of Hawaiian shamanism also had a deep, healing impact on me.

I combine all of these tools in an intuitive approach which I tailor to my clients’ needs.

You can find all the other topics that move me in my blog.

Beliefs

Beliefs  What do we mean when we talk about limiting beliefs and why is it so important to learn more and understand them better? If you look up the word "beliefs", the results will show you something along the lines of: Beliefs: a definition. Beliefs are assumptions which people have about themselves, They are deeply ingrained in us and often phrased in a generalist way.. other people or the world in general. I agree with this definition. But where do they come from and are there...

What is Anusara Yoga?

ANUSARA YOGA  I love to teach Anusara yoga. Anusara yoga always focuses on one central theme per lesson. Some examples include: setting boundaries; defining "home" for yourself; how to cope with emotions; how capable am I of feeling my emotions and needs; and the list goes on. I will choose the asanas for the lesson according to this central theme and adapt the session's flow to it (structure, music, texts, wording). This way, my students will be able to experience the theme on a profound...
